A Fostoria man was charged after allegedly getting into an altercation with a police officer over the weekend. The Review-Times reports 26-year-old Marquis Payne was taken into custody early Saturday morning after officers responded to a noise complaint on Peeler Drive. Officers say Payne, his brother Marcel, and several other men began taunting them. They allegedly refused to stop yelling and swearing, and began fighting with officers when Marquis was told he was under arrest for disorderly conduct. Payne also is said to have threatened the officers and their family members. He's been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and menacing.
