A reduction in orders from automaker General Motors has resulted in layoffs at a Findlay parts manufacturer. MITEC, which makes powertrain parts for the Chevy Malibu and the Cadillac ATS confirms layoffs were made Thursday. The company declined to say how many people were let go. MITEC had 54 people on staff as of a few weeks ago according to the Findlay-Hancock County Alliance. The company began operations in Findlay last April.
