A family of five was able to escape an Upper Sandusky house fire unharmed Monday night. Firefighters were called to 222 South Seventh Street around 8:30 p.m. for a kitchen fire. The blaze began when a burner was accidently left on when a resident was finished cooking. The flames were contained to the kitchen, no damage estimate was reported Tuesday.
The Wyandot County Red Cross helped out the family; providing supplies, food, and diapers and formula for the family's infant child.
