A large Putnam County employer is going to be expanding its operations. The Courier reports Kalida Manufacturing will undergo a $22 million, 150,000 square foot expansion, which will create 97 jobs over the next three years. The company makes parts for Honda, and currently employs 400 people.
A 135,000 square-foot expansion of the welding area, is already under way and will be finished in July. Construction of a 15,000 square-foot addition for stamping will begin this summer and be completed in spring.
