A Bluffton woman who was hit by a car early Sunday morning is getting better. The Wood County Sheriff's Office reports 23-year-old Bridgette Staley has been upgraded from critical to stable condition. Staley was hit early Sunday morning while walking along State Route 199 near Pelton Road. In the meantime investigators have found the person the believe hit Staley. 23-year-old Amber Allgire of Fostoria is said to have stopped after the initial accident, but then drove away. Investigators are also looking into the possibility that another car may have hit Staley and then left the scene.
