Bluffton residents are being asked to review a new flood plain map now in order to save money on their insurance bills. The Courier reports Lima-Allen County Planning Commission Director Tom Mazur spoke at last night's village council meeting and urged residents to check the map and plan accordingly. Mazur said the new map, which goes into effect May 2, slightly expands the flood zone in some areas while shrinking it in others. He says residents who suddenly find themselves in what's considered the flood zone should buy their flood insurance now in order to be grandfathered into lower prices.
