A jury has been seated in the trial of a former Kalida volleyball coach accused of sex crimes involving former students and players. The Putnam County Sentinel reports the prosecution alluded to a large amount of evidence and also shared statements from the five alleged victims of Jeremy Stober during opening statements. The defense argued during their statements that the charges brought against Stober were brought on by rumors that snowballed into something bigger. They added the accusations were, "the furthest thing from the truth."
Stober is charged with gross sexual battery, sexual imposition, sexual battery, importuning and tampering with evidence. The trial will continue today.
