A Bluffton woman was hit by a car north of Fostoria early Sunday morning. The Wood County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Bridgette Staley was walking on State Route 199 near Pelton Road around 3 a.m. when she was hit. Staley was taken to ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital and then transferred to a Toledo hospital by medical helicopter. The name of the driver who hit Staley has not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
