New Middle Schools Dedicated

Monday, February 25, 2013 - 5:07 AM

Findlay City Schools held ceremonies to dedicate the two new middle schools over the weekend. The Courier reports Superintendent Dr. Dean Wittwer thanked the community for supporting the 4.3 mill bond issue in 2009 that led to the construction of the new Donnell, Glenwood, and Millstream facilities. Wittwer also congratulated the construction crews who got the buildings done on time and on budget. The schools both opened on January 3.

The new Glenwood building is 113,253 square feet and cost about $22 million. The new Donnell building is 116,789 square feet and cost about $24 million. Combined the two buildings house all of the school district's sixth through eighth graders.
