It's going to be a busy weekend for the Hancock County Red Cross. The organization hosts its annual Run for the Red 5K Saturday morning, and the annual Oscar Night festivities tomorrow night. Director Todd James says the money raised from the events will help pay for things needed locally, including training for volunteers... (Audio Below)
Last year the Oscar Night festivities brought in $40,000 for the organization.
James says the Youth Council has been instrumental in helping the Red Cross be able to tackle two large events on the same day since they are handling the 5K... (Audio Below)
Registration for the Run for the Red 5K starts at 8 a.m. at the Findlay Village Mall. The "Oscar Night in Gotham City" will be held at the Findlay Inn and Conference Center Saturday at 7 p.m. A few tickets are still available, but have to be bought today.
