UF Students Experiment With 3D Printing Technology

Students at the University of Findlay are already experimenting with a technology President Obama mentioned during the State of the Union Speech last week. 3D printing was discussed as a potential boost to high tech jobs. The process is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a printer that can build objects by stacking layer upon layer of materials on top of each other. Trimmer says he paid $800 for his 3D printer, but that was for a kit he had to put together. The commercial price is closer to $2,000 right now.
