A weekend fire drove a Findlay family from their home. The fire was reported around 8 a.m. Saturday when smoke was seen coming from the roof of a house at 617 Morse Street. Everyone in the home was able to get out safely. Damage was estimated at a total of $18,000. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but is believed to have been the result of a light fixture in the attic. The Hancock County Red Cross Disaster Action team provided food for the family of two adults and two children, and a place for them to stay.
