Now that the oils spill dilemma in the gulf is over, I have an idea. Instead of BP paying huge fines couldn't they just fill us all up for free for the next ten years? Wouldn't that be great? just think of what that would do for our economy...At least we could all feel good when we eat the seafood from the gulf then. just an idea.

Am I the only person in NW Ohio that doesn't like Ribs?  I have fun at the Rib-Off but I always get weird looks when I look for something to eat other than ribs...like I shouldn't be there if I'm not planning to eat ribs.

Just 1 week left until the start of school. My son Phillip will be in fourth grade. Now all the parents who just had sons or daughters in the fourth grade are tell us new fourth grade parents that it is tougher than third grade. I can tell you that so K-3 has been tougher than when I went to school. We have prepared my son for fourth grade this year. Last year he kept his school work in a three ring binder. This year we have moved up to what is called a" Five Star" 3 ring binder complete with lifetime warranty. Wow I thought I was cool with my green "Trapper Keeper" when I was in fourth grade.

You know that Katie Perry song California Girls, well that was me while I was in California. My friend Season and I went to San Diego for a little vacation. We had a BLAST! To bad it went by so fast. We went to La Jolla and Pacific Beach where I twirled around in the ocean and dug my feet in the sand. Went to the San Diego Zoo where I stood and took a picture next to a Peacock. Heading up to L.A. where I met up with my high school friend Amanda where she took us to Hollywood and we walked on the star walk (I wanted to put my name on the blank stars), took a tour around Beverly Hills, The House of Nightmare on Elm, and Stopped by P. Diddy’s Place….okay we stopped at his gate. Anyways, stayed with some awesome relatives of Season’s, Matt and Boone who made sure we had a good time. It was so relaxing and didn’t want to leave. But when I got back home I had a dozen Red Roses waiting for me and a stuffed monster from my boyfriend, so it made me ease back into Ohio Life.

Last week I was driving a different way going home from work when a van was pulled over with their flashers on. A lady waved me down; I pulled over and asked if she needed help. She had ran out of gas and needed someone (me) to go get a couple dollars worth for her. So, I took her gas can went back into town to get her gas. This was not in my plans for the day…I just wanted to get home. So, I take her back the gas tank and she offered me money for getting her gas, I didn’t accept and I thought I did a good deed for the day. Well…I get home and tell my husband the situation and I got reamed. He told me how dangerous it was and that it was really stupid of me to do that. What happened with helping someone in need? Let’s just say if someone would need help like this lady, I’m going to be a good a citizen and help them out, but be safe about it.

Well we're into August. Isn't this supposed to be when the seasons start changing and things cool down a bit? Lately it seems like it's almost TOO hot out! But, it's bittersweet, because I know sooner than later we'll all be scraping the ice and snow off of our windshields! Ah well what can you do? I say we all just kick back, relax and let it be what it is with the crazy weather. If you can't control it you might as well try to enjoy it. Right?
