HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The University of Findlay's Pam Showman won the women's heptathlon to lead the Oilers' track and field teams at Thursday's Hillsdale Classic.
Showman set a new school record in the event with an NCAA provisional qualifying 4,877 points.
Tim Sanders took third in the 400-meter hurdles for the men with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 52.13 second.
The Oilers will compete today at the University of Louisville's Cardinal Twilight Meet.
GLIAC honors hunt
University of Findlay junior golfer Marcus Hunt was an honorable mention all-league pick as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its all-conference men's golf selections on Saturday.
Hunt led the team with a 75.1 scoring average during his ten best rounds in league play, including the three rounds of the GLIAC Tournament.
The Port Clinton native won the Malone Spring Invitational on March 30 with a two-over par score of 146 It was his first career victory.
Hunt also tied for 15th at the GLIAC Tournament last fall and came away with a second place finish at the GLIAC Spring Invitational.
Risner fires ace
Findlay's Jack Risner scored his first career hole-in-one on the 126-yard No. 5 hole at Red Hawk Run using a pitching wedge.
