Ottoville (6-9) held a 10-0 lead after one quarter, but the Big Green were shut out in the third quarter. John Darnall led the Eagles (11-1) with 10 points. Adam Cytlak added nine points. LEIPSIC 63 PATRICK HENRY 56 HAMLER -- Zach Kuhlman and Devin Mangas combined for 38 points Saturday night as Leipsic beat Patrick Henry 63-56 to keep the Patriots winless in a nonconference boys basketball game. Caleb Barrera finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds for Leipsic (11-2) with Kuhlman and Mangas contributing 19 points apiece. AJ Wagner scored a game-high 27 points for the Patriots (0-11). Adam Prigge added nine points. FORT JENNINGS 57 MCCOMB 50 MCCOMB -- Fort Jennings used a stellar fourth quarter to finish off an excellent weekend as the Musketeers beat McComb 57-50 Saturday in nonconference boys basketball play. Fort Jennings (3-12) trailed 46-40 heading into the final quarter, but outscored the Panthers 17-4 to record the comeback win. The Musketeers had picked up their second win of the season Friday with a 54-46 victory over Continental. Connor Wallenhorst was 7 of 10 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line en route to a game-high 21 points. Kurt Warnecke and Brandon Kohli each scored 11 points. Dalton Buck led McComb (7-7) with 19 points but shot just 7 of 26 from the field. OLD FORT 63 VANLUE 62 OLD FORT -- Old Fort outscored Vanlue 7-6 in the second overtime Saturday to take a 63-62 victory in a nonconference matchup of state-ranked boys basketball teams. Zach Garber scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Vanlue (10-3). Linden Smith had 16 points and six assists for the Wildcats, who were ranked 15th in last week's Division IV state poll. Dalton Perry had a game-high 26 points and Hunter Perry scored 20 for Old Fort (15-1), ranked seventh in the Associated Press Division IV poll. Old Fort scored five points in the final minute of regulation to force overtime, tying it 52-52 with seven seconds left when Matt Hill banked in a 3-pointer. Smith hit a 3-pointer near the end of the first overtime. But Vanlue had been awarded a time out and the basket was waved off. Janowiez scored 20 points and Beans 18 points and seven assists for Ottawa Hills (8-3), which outrebounded the Black Knights 38-24. Ryan Adolph paced Van Buren (3-9) with 11 points and also dished off four assists. Ross Adolph had eight points and 13 rebounds.
