Girls Soccer: Riverdale rallies
MOUNT BLANCHARD -- Riverdale broke open a close game with four goals in the second half as the Falcons defeated Bluffton 5-0 Tuesday in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association girls game.

Jordyn Wright scored three goals and added an assist for the Falcons (7-3-2, 3-1-1 NCOSA). Kristen Evans and Taylor Frey also scored and Tiffany Wright had an assist. Evans paced the defense by breaking up 15 Bluffton passes.

Bre Parish had two saves as Riverdale outshot the Pirates (4-9, 3-2) 18-2.



LIMA BATH 2

OTTAWA-GLANDORF 2

OTTAWA -- As easy as it was for Lima Bath and Ottawa-Glandorf to find the goal in the first half, it was equally difficult in the second.

Both teams scored a pair of goals in the first half of Tuesday's Western Buckeye League game and were shut out in the second for a 2-2 tie.

Whitney Warnecke scored the first goal for O-G (8-4-2, 4-3-1 WBL) with 22:30 left in the first half. Megan Siefker scored the Titans' second goal on a penalty kick with 12:10 left before intermission.

Amanda Schroeder and Alyssa Manley scored goals for Lima Bath (9-0-5, 5-0-3).

CORY-RAWSON 0

RAWSON -- Sarah Rall had two goals and Brigitte Snow scored on a penalty kick as Upper Sandusky shut out Cory-Rawson 3-0 on Tuesday in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association game.

Rall scored on a header off a crossfield pass from Dani Brodman with 2:41 left in the first half for Upper Sanduksy (6-7, 1-4 NCOSA). She made it 2-0 at the 25:20 mark in the second, and Snow capped the scoring when she connected on a penalty kick six minutes later.

Both teams managed 15 shots on goal, with Upper Sandusky's Keely Stover stopping all of them. Abby Schultz had five saves for Cory-Rawson (2-8, 1-3).
